The Ministry of Education recently announced the registration and approval results of a new batch of undergraduate majors. 30 colleges and universities, including Beijing Sport University, Fujian Normal University, and Guizhou Police College, will offer football sports majors, mainly sports and normal colleges.
Ren Dingmeng, deputy dean of the Chinese Football Academy, said the establishment of football major is an important measure to reform the sports talent training model. He believes that in the initial stage, it will mainly recruit high school students, sports school, football school students and professional club echelon players.
