Julian Schuster will succeed Christian Streich as head coach at SC Freiburg. The 38-year-old will take over the Bundesliga club for the new season.
Schuster is currently working as a liaison trainer between professionals and youth at the sports club. Streich announced on Monday that he would not be extending his contract with the club for another season. He had previously been a youth coach for 17 years, head coach with the professionals since 2012. The former midfielder played 242 competitive games for Freiburger and scored 21 goals.
