Paris Paralympic swimming competition Takayuki Suzuki selected as representative for 6th consecutive Games. Suzuki broke the dispatch standard record in the men's 50m freestyle in the motor dysfunction class with a time of 37.86 seconds.

Since he was born, he has lost both of his legs and his right hand, and his fingers on his left hand are disabled, making him the fourth most severely disabled out of 10 classes of motor dysfunction. Suzuki took advantage of her employer's overseas training program and began practicing at a British university in 2013.
