The National Police has decided to create its team of high-level athletes inspired by the model of the army of champions among the military. The objective of this new system is to establish a link between the police and the population.
Fencer vice-world sabre champion Maxime Pianfetti and gymnast Carolann Héduit, bronze medallist on beam at the European championships this summer, are among the new recruits to the police. For the first time, para-athletes (six in number) have joined the ranks of the institution's high- level athletes.
