The NFL season is fast approaching and the excitement is brewing as each franchise gets its house in order prior to the big kick-off. Some teams have invested well in the offseason while others, much to their fans' chagrin, have failed to improve on problem areas.

There are some very enticing games in the schedule for week one and no doubt a great many bets will be placed as sports betting fanatics start to act on their overall NFL betting strategies.

When it comes to building that strategy you should stay on top of all the relevant information that can help you win big. One key aspect would be taking into account the odds comparison service you can get the most of at www.sidelines.io as well as their excellent betting guides and analysis. All of which will be of great use as you look to make it through the 2021 season with a profit.

Here’s a handful of betting picks to consider for week one.

Dallas Cowboys with the Spread to Beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:  +7 (-110)

The NFL kick-off game, on September 9th, sees the Dallas Cowboys travel to the Raymond James Stadium to take on reigning Super Bowl winners Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As an outside bet, and to make this mouthwatering encounter all the more tempting, we suggest backing Mike McCarthy’s men to stay within reach of Tom Brady and co. and in doing so earn you a win with the spread.

Clearly Dallas had a poor season last time around, but they did finish with three wins from their final four matches, showing a return to form (albeit too late to salvage anything). Dallas have won seven of their last ten against Tampa but clearly those wins happened against a side that doesn’t have Tom Brady at the helm.

New England to Overcome the Miami Dolphins: -2.5 (-115)

We all know that last season was a nightmare for the Patriots and Bill Belichick, losing Tom Brady can do that to you, but we expect things to be a great deal different this time around.

Last season opened with this same fixture, which the Patriots won 21-11, but they then lost five of their next six and effectively killed their season. We’d back the Patriots to once again topple an improved Miami outfit, even with the 2.5 disadvantage.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Cleveland Browns: Over 52.5pts (-110)

The Chiefs are clear favorites with most sportsbooks and they open their season by hosting the Browns, who they defeated in a closely fought encounter in the divisional playoff in January, 22-17. We expect Patrick Mahomes to come out of the blocks fast and the 52.5pt benchmark is worth aiming over on.

In regular season action in the 2020 season the 52pt total was beaten on nine of 16 occasions and we’d bank on that being the case, with the Chiefs running out impressive winners.
