A new event in rowing, the Beach Sprint, which may be newly adopted at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, has been held in Ehime Prefecture. It is held in a one-on-one competition format, athletes run on the sand and board a boat, go by boating and pass two buoys alternately left and right, make a turn 1 meters offshore, and then return straight to the sandy beach first.

As early as this year's General Assembly of the IOC = International Olympic Committee, it may be decided to adopt it at the 1 LA Olympics.
