Muki Ikeda wins the 20km Race Walk Japan Championship and is selected to represent the Paris Olympics. The 25-year-old from Shizuoka Prefecture won a silver medal in the men's 20km race walk at the Tokyo Olympics.
He is competing at the world's top level with Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Toshikazu Yamanishi, and a year ago, he won the silver medal at the 2022 World Championships. His previous personal best was 1 hour 17 minutes 25 seconds.
