Figure skaters Pyotr Gumennik and Sofia Muravyova will miss the Spartakiad for medical reasons. In their absence, the main favorites in the singles competition will be Evgeniy Semenenko and Adelia Petrosyan.
In pairs skating, the usual confrontation will unfold between Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky and Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov. The tournament also suffered a serious loss. The bronze medalist of the national championship, PyOTr Gumenik, will not take part in the competition due to pneumonia.
