CSKA beat Rostov on its home field in the return match of the quarterfinals of the RPL Path of the Russian Football Cup. Ilya Agapov and Tamerlan Musaev scored goals for CSKA.

Krasnodar suffered a sensational defeat away from Khimki and ended their participation in the tournament. Karpin was sent to the Path of Regions, Ivich was put on the bench for the rest of the match. The match was of particular importance for KrasNodar for two reasons. Not the most successful performance at the group stage led to the fact that the current finalist reached the playoffs only from third place.
