Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has been appointed to the supervisory board of Bayern Munich. The 67-year-old had handed over the job of CEO to Oliver Kahn in the summer of 2021.

As part of a four-member council, he is to plan the new squad. He will also be involved in the search for a new sporting director for the German champions. He is to take over the upcoming squad planning together with Uli Hoeneß, Herbert Hainer and Kahn's successor Jan-Christian Dreesen.
