[HIGHLIGHTS] José Manuel Franco will leave the presidency of the CSD to head the list of the PSOE to the Senate in Madrid

José Manuel Franco will leave his position as president of the Superior Council of Sports (CSD), after just over two years. He will compete as number one of the PSOE list to the Senate in the general elections of next July 23.

He must cease as Secretary of State for Sport, in compliance with the Organic Law of General Electoral Regime.Franco was appointed by the Council of Ministers on March 30, 2021, when José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes was in charge of the Culture and Sports portfolio.
