Swiss ski racer Daniel Yule won the slalom in Chamonix, France. Yule finished the first round in 30th place, the last starting position for the second run.

The 30-year-old was allowed to start the second round first and still found optimal conditions. It was the seventh World Cup victory of Yule's career - and the most unlikely of his career, he said. He broke the previous record set by Lucas Braathen, who drove from 29th to victory in Wengen two years ago.
