Max Verstappen, three-time reigning world champion, easily won in the opening round of the 2024 Formula 1 world championship. Sergio Pérez, his teammate at Red Bull, took second place.
The podium is completed by Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz. Red Bull and its star driver Max Ver stappen are the huge favorites for this season, the densest in F1 history with 24 Grand Prix planned. The Dutchman easily won the Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday.
