Anders Besseberg has been accused of accepting bribes and protecting Russian interests. Now the former IBU president is being prosecuted for serious corruption.
"Økokrim believes that there is evidence that the defendant received bribes continuously over a ten-year period," prosecutor Marianne Djupesland told NTB. The seriousness is underlined by the breach of trust this entails in light of his assignment as chairman of the IBU, says prosecutor and First Prosecutor General Mariane Djupedland.
