Rapid Vienna players and officials banned after homophobic chants in city derby. Guido Burgstaller, Marco Grüll, Thorsten Schick and Maximilian Hofmann all banned for three games.
Manager Steffen Hofmann and assistant coach Stefan Kulovits also banned. Rapid receives a deduction of three points, but the sentence is suspended until 2026. The club announced on Tuesday that it would protest against the suspensions. The Austrian Football Bundesliga is committed to the fight against discrimination of all kinds.
