Environmental activists from the group "Just Stop Oil" interrupted a match of the World Snooker Championships in Sheffield. Two activists burst into the playground at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre shortly after a game began.
One of them climbed onto one of the pool tables and poured orange powder into it. The other activist, who was about to do the same on another table where a second match was being played, was prevented from doing so by the referee. "They demand that the government halt all new fossil fuel projects," the group said in a statement.
