Eduard Latypov won the sprint race at the final stage of the Russian Biathlon Cup in Ufa. The three-time Olympic medalist guaranteed himself victory in both the sprint and overall standings of the tournament.

In a similar discipline for women, Anastasia Shevchenko took first place, Tamara Derbusheva took second, and Polina Shevnina completed the top three. Natalia SheVchenko finished fourth, but nevertheless became the winner of the Big Crystal Globe ahead of schedule.
