Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduces Simona Halep's suspension to nine months. CAS disavowed the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), which had sanctioned Halep on September 22, 2023.

CAS ruled that the positive test of the former world number 1 came from a "contaminated supplement", and that the anomalies in his biological passport were not enough to prove misconduct. The Lausanne court promises to specify “as soon as possible” the practical consequences of its decision.
