[HIGHLIGHTS] DFB test match against Netherlands: Criticism of the Frankfurt lawn – “catastrophe”

German national team beat the Netherlands 2-1 in Frankfurt on Tuesday. The pitch was a disaster, says national coach Julian Nagelsmann.

The players kept slipping away, especially when turning. The turf had to be replaced after the Kansas City Chiefs’ NFL guest game in November 2023. If the DFB team only finishes third in the group, the subsequent round of 16 could even take place in the arena. The German team's third and final group game against Switzerland will take place on June 23rd.
