The 27-year-old is the second of the “fantastic four” to return to competition this season after the Belgian Remco Evenepoel, winner last Sunday of the Tour of the Algarve. His former teammate, the Slovenian Primoz Roglic, who joined the German team Bora-Hansgrohe this winter, should make his return to Paris-Nice in March.
