Conor O'Leary, a 30-year-old from Australia, has been selected to represent Japan at the Paris Olympics. The selection was made after a meeting of the Japan Surfing Federation on the 8th of this month.

He is the third member of the team, after Kanoa Igarashi, who won the silver medal at the World Games, and Shino Matsuda, who took the bronze medal. The team will compete in the men's and women's surfing events.
