On January 29, the Court of Arbitration for Sport disqualified ValieVA for four years for violating anti-doping rules. The figure skater also lost all awards won since the 2021/22 season, including the gold medal of the European Championship. The ISU stripped the Russian team of gold medal in the team tournament in which Valieeva participated. Russian skaters will receive bronze medals, first place will go to the USA team, and second place to Japan.
