The Buffalo Bills have been involved in four Super Bowl appearances since the AFL and NFL merged in 1970, but they have yet to get their hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy, as they have lost all four games.

Buffalo head into the 2022/23 season with one of their strongest rosters in history. They have won the AFC East title in each of the last two years, and they will be expected to make it a hat-trick of wins at the end of the campaign.

The Bills have been on an upward trajectory ever since they selected quarterback Josh Allen in the 2018 draft. Their franchise QB has made an impressive start to his career in the NFL, and he looks open to further improvement.

The goal for Buffalo in the upcoming season will be to end their franchise’s wait for a first Super Bowl success. Bills fans will feel the excitement with the best NFL odds, as their side top the betting at +600. The Bucs and Rams are second and third best respectively.

Allen’s Numbers Have Been Impressive

Over the last two years in the regular season, Allen has scored 73 passing touchdowns and he has thrown for just short of 10,000 passing yards. Those numbers have been matched by very few QBs in the league.

Allen is the only QB in the history of the NFL to have a touchdown in every offensive passion of a game. What will encourage Bills fans the most is that in the last two years, his performances have not dropped in the postseason. Their team have just been outscored by the Kansas City Chiefs on both occasions in two thrilling games (38-24 and 42-36).

The experience of the last two years should help Allen the next time he is in the playoffs. He has led his team to wins over the Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots. It means his record in the postseason is 3-3.

Allen is expected to be a strong MVP contender in 2022. If he improves on his numbers from 2020 and 2021, he is sure to be in the conversation for the award going into the NFL Honors.

Von Miller Adds Real Quality to Defense

The pick of Buffalo’s signings in free agency was that of Von Miller. He has signed for the Bills on a six-year contract worth $120 million. The former Super Bowl MVP helped the Rams win the top prize in the league last season.

Miller is now at his third NFL team. He played for the Denver Broncos between 2011 and 2021. He moved to Los Angeles last season, where he showed his quality in another team. Bills head coach Sean McDermott will be hoping he can have the same impact on his side’s defense.

Guard Rodger Saffold also signed for the Rams earlier this year ahead of the new season. The former Tennessee Titans player has been in the NFL since 2010 and he will add depth to the offensive line this year.

Buffalo open up their new season against the defending champions the LA Rams in the NFL opener on September 8 at the SoFi Stadium.
