Ivory Coast defeated Mali 1-0 in the quarter-final of CAN 2024. The Elephants were reduced to 10 men after Odilon Kossounou was sent off.

Sébastien Haller Dorgeles scored one of the goals of the tournament. Adama Traoré opened the scoring in the 71st minute. Diakité Diarra doubled the lead in the 82nd minute. The match finished 1-1 after extra-time with Mali missing a penalty.
