The 14th National Winter Games kicked off in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. More than 3,700 athletes participated, with up to 8 major events, 16 sub-categories and 176 minor events.
For the first time, provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities will participate in the competition. Ice and snow competition has increased, and the ice and snow territory has been further expanded. The "Southern and Northern accents" in the Winter Games are expanding the base and adding depth to the comprehensive and balanced development of Chinese sports.
