Pyunik canceled friendly matches with three Russian teams at a training camp in Turkey. According to Orenburg sports director Dmitry Andreev, representatives of Yerevan residents cited the reluctance of Ukrainian football players to take to the field as the main reason.
The head coach of the 15-time champion of Armenia, Roman Monarev, explained the incident with the dissatisfaction of the Ukrainian Premier League clubs. The matches with Krylia Sovetov (February 7) and Khimki (February 11) were also cancelled.
