At Nippon-Ham's professional baseball camp in Okinawa Prefecture, a Red and White match was held. The starting pitcher, Yufu Nemoto, a fourth-year professional pitcher, pitched two innings and gave up no runs for the first time.
Nemoto was selected for the Japan national team consisting mainly of young players last year and contributed to their victory in the international tournament. He got a strikeout using the fork ball he had been honing since last season's off-season.
