“We expect the start of clinical trials on July 15,” RIA Novosti quoted Maksyutov as saying.
He said that 300 volunteers will take part in them.
He said that "work has already been done on their selection, they fully comply with all requirements."
According to him, the first stage of clinical trials should end in September, and if good results on safety and immunogenicity are obtained, vaccine registration will begin.
However, he noted that "monitoring of volunteers will remain in the post-registration period."
Maksyutov said earlier that three prototypes of the COVID-19 vaccine created in Russia during the tests showed effectiveness in the formation of immunity.
