Arsenal's chances of snatching one of the seats eligible for European competitions in the coming season were dealt a severe blow, after losing 1/2 to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in the thirty-fifth stage of the English Premier League football.

Arsenal, who failed to win for the second consecutive match in the competition, was frozen at 50 points in ninth place, while Tottenham raised its score to 52 points in eighth place.

 French star Alexandre Lacazette scored for Arsenal in the 16th minute, while South Korean Sun Hyung Min tied for Tottenham in the 19th minute.

The excitement continued in the second half, after the Belgian Toby Alderfield scored the valuable victory goal for Tottenham in the 81st minute, to settle the White Derby team in his favor.
