The UAE Olympic team faces China at the opening of the international championship in Dubai

The UAE Olympic team cuts the bar for participation in the international friendly tournament for the under-23 teams, organized by the Football Association, in cooperation with IAST Sports, for the period from 23 to 29 March, with the participation of 10 teams, against its Chinese counterpart at eight in the evening tomorrow, Wednesday , at Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, Shabab Al Ahli Club.

This afternoon, the technical meeting of the tournament was held, in the presence of Rashid Amer, Director of Teams and Technical Affairs, along with Imar Raslan, representative of IAST SPORTS, the organizer of the tournament. Amer welcomed the teams participating in the tournament in their second country, wishing the participants success.

The meeting reviewed the administrative and technical aspects of the tournament, which will be held on three stadiums in Dubai: Maktoum Bin Rashid Stadium, Al Ahly Shabab Stadium in Al Awir, and The Sevens Stadium. It is expected that the tournament will be broadcast on local sports channels;

Abu Dhabi Sports, Dubai Sports, and Sharjah Sports.

The start of the international friendly tournament for the U-23 Olympic teams will witness 5 matches on its first day, along with the “Olympic White” match and the Chinese team, Thailand and Qatar at four in the afternoon at Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, and at the same time, Japan and Croatia will meet “youth” » At Al-Awir Stadium, and in the second match in the same stadium, Vietnam and Iraq will meet at eight in the evening, while the Saudi team will face its counterpart Uzbekistan at five in the evening at The Sevens Stadium.

The international friendly tournament will reach the second round next Saturday, which will witness the matches of the UAE, Uzbekistan, China, Thailand, Qatar, Japan, Croatia, Vietnam, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The list of teams that will compete in the "International Dubai Friendly" includes 9 teams preparing for the AFC U-23 Cup finals, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Japan, China, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Thailand, in addition to Croatia, the only European team among the participants.
