The UAE Futsal Team inaugurates its indoor camp in Al Bataeh

The UAE national futsal team performed its first training session at the Al Bataeh Club Stadium within its internal camp, which will continue until the 27th of this month, as the Futsal Club prepares to participate in the Asian qualifiers for the West Asia region, which is hosted by the state in the Authority’s hall in the Emirate of Fujairah from 5 to 7 next April.

It is worth noting that the West Asian qualifiers will qualify for the 2023 AFC Futsal Championship in Kuwait.

The list of the national team in this camp included 16 players, they are: Ahmed Khalil Al Hosani, Muhammad Abdullah Fadaq (Al Dhafra) Hassan Al Hantobi, Abdullah Al Hosani, Omar Al Naqbi, Khaled Al Shoka (Khor Fakkan) Rashid Obaid (Dibba Al Hisn) Abdullah Abdul Majeed (Ittihad Kalba) Hamad Hassan Omar Jumaa (Al-Bataeh) Muhammad Obaid, Abdullah Al-Falasi, Abdullah Al-Khamri, Omar Al-Fahim, Khaled Hareb, Saeed Jassim (Al-Nasr).

Khamis Al Shamsi, General Supervisor of the National Futsal Teams, indicated that the current gathering will witness the team’s two friendly experiences against the Kuwait-Kuwaiti team on March 19 and 21, and that the final preparations for our national team will start on March 28, where the internal camp is in the Emirate of Fujairah, and a friendly match against Japan national football team on the 30th of the same month

The Asian qualifiers draw, which was drawn on January 6, placed the UAE team in the second group, which includes Bahrain and Iraq, while the first group included the teams of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Palestine and Lebanon.

The national team will start its qualifying campaign against Iraq on April 5, 2022, and in the second match it will meet Bahrain on April 6.
