Yesterday (9th), as the rainy season front rebounded north, it rained a lot in northern Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do. As the water level of the Hantan River rose again, a flood warning was issued in Pocheon, but fortunately, the water level dropped a lot overnight.

Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, when the highest rain of over 150mm fell yesterday.

The water level of Yeongpyeongcheon, a tributary of the Hantan River, was close to 4.5m, a serious flood warning at one point yesterday afternoon, and a flood warning was issued in this area yesterday afternoon.

Fortunately, a local private house was formed on a high ground, so no evacuation order was issued.

The water levels of the Hantan River Sarang Bridge and the Imjin River Biryong Bridge are 5.4 m and 7.8 m, respectively, and are at the stage of interest.

However, the Han River Flood Control Office said it would maintain a flood warning as it continues to rain in the area and additional heavy rain such as a typhoon rose north.

In Cheorwon, Gangwon-do, a heavy rain of more than 180mm was poured yesterday, and the water level of the Hantan River rose, and an evacuation order was issued for residents.

About 400 people, including 132 people in Igil-ri, Dongsong-eup in Cheorwon, 22 people in Dongmak-ri, Galmal-eup, and 235 people in Jeongyeon-ri, were evacuated five days ago.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters said that 31 people died, 11 were missing, and 6,000 people were displaced this month alone due to the rainy season.
