The Board of Directors of the Football Association, during its meeting yesterday, using visual communication technology, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Football Association, approved the official participation of the national teams in the regional and continental championships that will be held this year.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that "the Football Association will continue to work to implement its strategy and vision 2038, in cooperation with clubs and the rest of the sports sectors and institutions," noting that the great efforts made by departments and committees deserve appreciation, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation between all parties.
The council was briefed on the latest preparations for the first national team camp, scheduled in Serbia from August 6 to 13, in preparation for the final stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The council approved participation in the West Asian U-23 Federation Championship (born in 1999) from October 4 to 12 in Saudi Arabia, the qualifiers for the U-23 Asian Cup finals scheduled in the country from October 23 to 31, and the Asian Junior Games from November 20 to 28 in China .
The program of preparing the beach team in preparation for participation in the World Cup Russia 2021 was reviewed. As for the women's football team, its participation in the qualifiers for the 2022 Asian Cup finals has been approved.
