Let's take a closer look at where it rains a lot and what the weather will be like in the future with reporter Jung Gu-hee from the weather team.

Q. Where and how much more?

[Reporter Gu-hee Jung: Yes.

What you are seeing now is the image of rain clouds captured by radar.

Let's change the color a bit to see the area a little more closely.

As you can see, you can see purple rain clouds coming in from Chungnam, Sejong, and Boryeong.

Now, let me explain a little bit, the hot air called the strong North Pacific high pressure is located in the southern region, preventing the rainy season front from coming down. It is raining heavily toward Chungcheong-do by creating a narrow precipitation zone.

If you look at the case of this area, let's expand it a bit.

Areas that appear green and blue do not get as much precipitation as 1–5 mm, 1–5 mm per hour, but these areas now appear purple.

Here, heavy rains of up to 30-60 mm per hour are pouring hard.

Let's take a look at CCTV in these areas.

First of all, it's raining a lot in this area of Gongju right now, so let's check the CCTV around this area.

It's dark now, so you can't see it very well, but it's raining a lot and the road is very wet right now.

It's near the Gongju Junction, and now it's raining hard as you can see from the street lamp.

Let's take a look at the inland side.

As we operate disaster CCTV, we can take a look at the situation across the country.

In the case of Cheongju today, it rained about 120mm.

This is the city center of Cheongju right now, and this is Musimcheon, and you can see that the strong raindrops are pouring under the lights as you can see from the lights over there.

Here in Musimcheon Island, the water has increased tremendously.

Originally, there was one tree because it was a place we always see in this area, but the Musimcheon River blew so much that the trees were submerged, and part of the trail was flooded.]

Q. What is the path of rain clouds in the future?

[Reporter Gu-hee Jung: I will explain the location of the rain clouds a little more.

I mentioned earlier that strong rain clouds are coming, centered on Chungcheong Province, but it seems that these rain clouds will move north for a while to the north of Gyeonggi-do and then go down a little south.

However, as this rain cloud belt expands to the whole country tomorrow, the intensity will decrease, but it will spread rain all over the country.

The problem is the Chungcheong-do region, where rain clouds are moving up and down, so it is expected that the rain will be the most concentrated right now.

So let's look at the cumulative precipitation going forward.

As I just mentioned, it can rain more than 250mm in the vicinity of Chungcheong-do and Jeollabuk-do, and it is highly likely that it will rain more than 100mm in southern Gyeonggi-do and southern Yeongseo in Gangwon-do.

In the case of Seoul, where the damage was great now, there is not much precipitation at 20-80mm, but the ground is collapsing a lot and damage has already occurred, so we should not miss the tension until the end.]
