Sharjah in the last chance meeting against Al Hilal in the "Asian Champions"

Sharjah is awaiting at 12.15 midnight today at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, a difficult task against the defending champion, Al Hilal, in the second leg of the fifth and penultimate round for the first group in the AFC Champions League.

This match is considered the last chance for Sharjah, as it has no choice but to win, with the Qatari Rayyan losing to Tajikistan’s Istiklal to revive its chances in the competition for the ticket to qualify for the final price through the second place that Al Rayyan is competing against, knowing that the first leg between Sharjah and Al Hilal ended with the latter’s victory. Two goals to one.

Sharjah's mission seems almost impossible, with another match remaining in the last round against Al-Istiklal, the 28th of this month.

In the event of a loss or a tie for Sharjah, with Al Rayyan winning or a tie against Tajikistan's Istiklal, Al Rayyan will have qualified without waiting for the last round.

Al Hilal leads the group with 12 points with a full score, Al Rayyan is second with seven points, Sharjah is third with four points, and the Tajik team is finally without points.

Group A standings:

1- Al-Hilal “12 points”

2- Al-Rayyan “7”

3- Sharjah “4”

4- Al-Istiqlal 0
