A fatal accident occurred on a railroad near Namyeong Station on Seoul Subway Line 1, and authorities have taken action.
Today (13th) around 6:30 a.m., a man in his 70s was killed by a subway line 1 train heading to Namyeong-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
A KORAIL official said, "It seems that the accident occurred because a man entered the railroad track without permission."
In the process of fixing the accident, train operation was delayed for over an hour, causing inconvenience to citizens on their way to work.
KORAIL announced that it will temporarily suspend the train service from Namyeong Station to Cheongnyangni underground and transport it from Yongsan Station to Cheongnyangni.
