Salem Ghalib wins the first gold in the UAE swimming in the Gulf Championship

The swimmer of the UAE youth team, Salem Ghaleb, won the first gold medal for the UAE in the 28th Gulf Cooperation Council Aquatics Championships held in Qatar, at the start of the championship competitions, which started on Thursday morning and will continue until August 22.

Salem Ghaleb won his first gold in the 100m butterfly race for youth under 17 years, with a time of 57:78 seconds, while the Qatari swimmer came in second place and came third and the bronze medal was the Kuwaiti swimmer.

Our national swimmer, Hussein Abdullah Al Sayegh, succeeded in winning the second medal for the UAE, which is the bronze in the 400-meter freestyle race for juniors under 14 years, to end the first day in the Gulf of Doha with two gold and bronze medals for the UAE.
