Premier League player suspected of child sexual abuse

A 31-year-old international footballer, who plays in the Premier League, has been arrested by the police, revealed the English newspaper

, on Tuesday.

The player, whose name has not been released for legal reasons, is suspected of child sexual abuse.

Pending the outcome of the investigation, carried out by the Greater Manchester police, the player has been suspended by his club, according to the British daily.
