Gustav Svensson made his debut for IFK Gothenburg over 15 years ago.

After many years abroad, the national team-qualified midfielder is back in the club.

- This is my club and Gothenburg is my hometown.

Of course, it feels fantastic that everything is finally ready, he says to the club's website.

Recently, Blågult announced that the experienced 34-year-old is leaving the national team.

Svensson, with 32 international caps on his account, has recently trained with IFK Gothenburg and comes most recently from Chinese Guangzhou City, where he came earlier this year.

- It feels very good that Gustav is now back.

He is one of Sweden's best in his position and has accumulated a lot of experience after games in Turkey, Ukraine, USA, two rounds in China and to be continuously part of the national team.

He raises the quality and leads the competition even more in our squad, says sports director Pontus Farnerud.
