Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen received a death threat message on social media when Liverpool striker Darwin Nunes was sent off for 'headbutting' during a Premier League match.

Andersen said on his Instagram on the 16th (Yesterday) (local time), "I think I received 300-400 messages last night. I understand cheering for one team, but I have respect for others and behave harshly online. Please stop," he wrote.

Andersen then revealed some of the messages he had received, including threats to his family, as well as death threats, abusive language, and slander against the player himself.

Andersen had a nervous battle while blocking Nuñez in the second round of the 2022-2023 EPL match against Liverpool the day before.

Excited here, Nuñez 'headed' Andersen and received a red card.

It seems that Liverpool fans, who are angry at this, have turned their anger on Andersen.

Andersen appealed, "I hope Instagram and the Premier League will respond."

The two teams drew 1-1 in this match, leaving Liverpool to a two-game draw since the start of the season, while Crystal Palace recorded one draw and one loss.
