FC Copenhagen stood up well during large parts of regular playing time when they met Manchester United in the Europa League quarter-finals in Cologne.

Perhaps best of all was the Swedish goalkeeper Karl-Johan Johnsson who made many important giant saves.

He admittedly missed a ball at the end of the first half, but after a video review it turned out that Manchester United's super talent Mason Greenwood was offside.

After 90 minutes, the score was still 0-0, but in the first extra quarter United dominated and when Anthony Martial was sent off in the penalty area, Bruno Fernandes was safe from eleven meters.

That was what was required for Manchester United and thus the season is over for FC Copenhagen.

FCK's Swedish fullback Pierre Bengtsson was replaced after just fifteen minutes. United replaced Victor Nilsson Lindelöf in the 70th minute.

Now Wolverhampton Wanderers or Sevilla are waiting in the semifinals for Manchester United.
