The scene of the match: Sara Däbritz had the chance to equalize for Bayern in the last minute. She lined the ball for the free kick, ran to - and hit the crossbar. In the end, the German runners-up against FC Barcelona were a bit unlucky, having previously been very lucky.

The result: Bayern lost the first leg in the semifinals of the Champions League 0-1 (0-0) against FC Barcelona. Thus, the Munich women in the second leg in a week (12 clock, TV: Sport1) under pressure.

The highlight of the season: never before were the women of Bayern in the semifinals of the Champions League. But if they want to win a title this season, they have to beat Barcelona. The championship seems almost as good as to go to VfL Wolfsburg, also in the Cup Bayern drew against the Wolves with 0: 4 the short straw. Therefore, for manager Karin Danner before the semi-finals of the premier class was clear: "This is our absolute highlight game, the biggest chance we have this season."

The first half: Bayern coach Thomas Wörle warned of the opponent. "Barcelona plays a football like no other team in Germany, they have a lot of possession and are more experienced than us at this high level," he said before the match in the "Sport1" interview. And so did Barça. Bayern striker Jovana Damnjanovic had the first big chance of the match (6th minute), but her low shot narrowly missed the post. After Barça took control, possession 66 percent possession and great opportunities for leadership. Bayern came into play just before the break.

Dusel-Bayern: Great opportunities meant for Barcelona especially slats and posts. Kheira Hamraoui's (34 ') shot slapped the crossbar, and ten minutes later Vicky Losada hit the post. Bayern could be happy that the game was not pre-decided to break. Defender Kathrin Hendrich challenged her luck again: When Barças drilled Lieke Mertens into the box, Hendrich straddled the ball but hit the Dutchman's ankle. Referee Jana Adamkova did not give the penalty. The VAR is not used in the women's Champions League.

The second half: There have been games in which a careless loss of opportunity avenged, not so on Easter Sunday in Munich. Barcelona's Mariona Caldentey dribbled from the right wing to the center and put the ball through to Hamraoui. The French defeated her opponent and pushed in the 63rd minute safely to 1: 0. Barcelona then continued to play possession, combining again and again from the defense and held the victory, even with a little luck in the free-kick Däbritz, to the end.

The scenery: in Europe before the World Cup in France, the spectator records. In the second semi-final saw 22,911 spectators the 2-1 victory of Olympique Lyon against Chelsea. Larger scenes were previously only in finals in the premier class. And Bayern? After all, reported sold out at the biggest game in the history of the women's team. In the stadium of the Bavaria campus were allegedly 2500 fans.

And now? The semi-final is not lost yet. In a week is the return match in Barcelona. Wörle may have to do without offensive player Dominika Skorvankova, who had to be replaced injured in the 70th minute. In the second leg Bayern must shoot at least two goals to make it into the final. It is the last chance for Wörle to win a title before his farewell in the summer. His contract is not renewed.
