Pauline Ferrand-Prévot won her first cross-country mountain bike European champion title on Saturday, winning on the Montecerini circuit (Switzerland).
The Frenchwoman offers herself a nice double, a week after winning her third world champion title in Leogang (Austria).
Under the Ticino sun and on a dry circuit, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot beat the Dutchwoman Anne Terpstra, 2nd (+0: 41), and the Ukrainian Yana Belomoina (3rd, +0: 56).
As during his world coronation in Leogang, “PFP” took the lead very quickly in the race.
Only Terpstra tried to hang on for a few minutes but gradually gave way

Vice-European champion in 2018, the 28-year-old Frenchwoman was crowned at the continental level among the juniors (2009) and among the hopes (2014).
Now all she needs is the Olympic mountain bike title, which she will try to win in the summer of 2021 at the Tokyo 2020 Games, with a race scheduled for July 27.
