• Real Madrid From 'Coco' and the shyness of school to the legend of 'KB9': the maturity of Karim Benzema

When Getafe announced its great signing for the winter market, the Fuentebella neighborhood in Parla recovered one of its neighbors.

Real Madrid broke the loan of Borja Mayoral (Parla, 1997) in Roma and agreed to his loan for six months to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez club.

A second round for the striker to become "excited about football" after Mourinho did not trust him after a great first season with the Italian team.

At 25 years old and with a contract at Chamartín until 2023, the youth squad wants to vindicate himself at the Bernabéu: "Imagine that I score and we win... I won't come back the same," he jokes with EL MUNDO before the game.

Between Getafe and Parla there are barely 10 minutes.

After being on loan at Levante and Roma, how important is it on a vital level to return home? A lot, imagine... When you are away from your environment, from your family and your friends, it always costs a little more.

And more if football does not go as you expect.

But everything is going well here, as expected, very happy to be at home and at Getafe. He had a very good first year at Roma, scoring 17 goals in all competitions.

What happened to end up on loan at Getafe? He had two years on loan.

The first one went well, I put up good numbers, I felt good and I took a step forward, but this year with the arrival of the new coach (Mourinho) I have hardly had any minutes or opportunities.

I had to look for something, I like to play, I like to compete and the Getafe option came up,

next to home, and I did not hesitate.

I think it was the perfect club for me. Was Mourinho honest with you or did he disappoint you? I expected to have more opportunities for the year he had done, but he signed his strikers, they spent a lot of money and I went into the background or third place.

At the beginning of the season I could smell it, although I was confident that if he saw me training he could change the situation, but it didn't happen and in January I had to find something for myself.

It was very difficult to spend another six months like this. Wolfsburg, Levante, Rome and Getafe.

Four assignments.

How have you managed it? In Wolfsburg it was not easy, it was the first time that I left my family and left my environment.

But you learn a lot of things, you get older, you mature in various aspects outside of football as well.

Then I was lucky that Zidane wanted me to stay in the Madrid first team and I learned from the best,

with the luck of winning a Champions League, which is something that always remains in the memory.

At Levante I had more responsibility, I played many games, I scored goals, I matured and I went to Roma.

I think it was a big jump and I responded well, it was an experience in European football that helped me a lot to get rid of being 'the kid'.

This season I didn't have opportunities and that's why I came to spend six months in Getafe, to let myself be seen and enjoy football. Is it mentally heavy to develop in Valdebebas, reach the first team and then go out on loan so many times? I get along well.

Everyone has their vision.

Mine is that being in the quarry doesn't guarantee you get into the first team, few have done it and it's understandable, because only the best make it to the Madrid first team.

After Castilla it's difficult to get up to the first team because you're not 100% prepared, that's why they make those loans, to gain experience, do the 'military' outside, train and see if you're ready for Madrid.

And if you're not, then to another club, of which there are many. Is Zidane the coach who has bet the most on you? I also remember coaches from the academy who bet on me, but Zidane is the one who has marked me the most.

While I was at Castilla, he gave me the opportunity to play several games as a starter and then he was the one who wanted me to stay.

But hey, you learn from each coach.

I have had very good ones.He has scored four goals in the ten games he has played with Getafe.

What does Quique Sánchez Flores give him that he has missed in recent months? Closeness, talking about football, about me and having minutes.

That even if he is not a starter, he can come on from the bench, be more in the dynamic... That mentally helps you a lot. Have you enjoyed yourself again? Totally. Now they come to the Bernabéu and have the opportunity to be protagonists in the fight for the title .

How do you experience that situation being on loan from Madrid? It's a bit difficult... (laughs).

The other day talking with friends he told them «imagine what I score, we win and in preseason I have to go back with them».

The same I will not return (laughs).

You don't know what can happen, I'm happy to play, to see old teammates, friends, people from the club and whatever happens in the game happens. In July he will have to do the preseason in Valdebebas.

What would you say to Ancelotti? No... I don't have to say anything, I have to speak on the pitch, which is the best way and the one I've followed my entire career.

Do you ask the future for something? It's my sixth season in first class at 25 years old.

It is true that after so many transfers I would like to settle in a club, but you never know. Parla is part of that Madrid working-class belt.

What environment did she grow up in? My father has always been a butcher and my mother a housewife.

She was the one who took me to Valdebebas and my brother, who was at Atlético, to Majadahonda.

He was funny... But we got along.

A humble, normal family from the Fuentebella neighborhood, where I started playing futsal.

My father still works and does not want to retire.

I'm on it, but he doesn't want to.

It says a lot about him.

He tells me: "I have my job and you have yours."

It is very difficult to make him change his mind.
