Al Shafar, Vice President of the International Cycling Union

Osama Al Shafar, President of the Asian Cycling Union, member of the Executive Office of the International Federation, won the position of Vice-President of the International Cycling Union in the elections that were held today in Belgium on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the International Federation.

Frenchman David Labertian retained the position of President of the International Cycling Union for the new cycle 2021-2025 by acclamation.

Al Shafar, who became the first president of the Asian Confederation to hold this position, won the elections thanks to the confidence he enjoys at the international level in cycling and after a successful sporting career in all the positions he held for more than 20 years.
