Amidst internal conflicts erupting over the rules of the Democratic Party of Korea, Ahn Gyu-baek, chairman of the National Convention Preparation Committee, announced today (the 5th) that he would resign.

Chairman Ahn said on Facebook today, "It is judged that it is difficult to lead a productive discussion any longer in a situation where the Chun-Level discussion is becoming turbulent."

It is interpreted as expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that related regulations, such as the cut-off decided by the Jeon Jun-su yesterday, were overturned in the process of non-subrogation discussions.

He added, "I hope that productive discussions will take place in the non-captain and party committee."
