African Nations Cup postponed until January 2024

Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), said on Sunday that CAF decided to postpone the start of the Nations Cup by six months until January 2024.

Motsebe also announced the launch of the African Super League next season, and the start will be on August 10.

The two decisions came during the CAF meeting in Morocco, and it is expected that the postponement of the Nations Cup will cause a new controversy due to the conflict in the date of the continental competition with the commitments of many players in Europe.

The Nations Cup was supposed to be held in June next year in Ivory Coast.
