According to the legal community, the first arrest warrants for Lee Eun-hae (31) and Cho Hyeon-soo (30), who are charged with murder or attempted murder, were first issued on December 14, last year.
After the first summons and investigation on the 13th of the same month, the prosecution disappeared without appearing for the second investigation the next day.
The validity of the arrest warrant issued at that time was one month, and the prosecution failed to arrest them during that time.
The prosecution even formed a separate arrest team to follow them, but could not figure out the whereabouts at all, and on the 30th of last month, provided photos of their faces to the media and switched to a public investigation.
If the prosecution fails to arrest Lee and Cho by the 12th, the expiration date of the second arrest warrant issued, they must obtain an arrest warrant again.
A court official said, "The arrest warrant cannot be extended, and if the suspect is not arrested within the validity period, it loses its effect and must be returned to the court.
It has been over a week since the public wanted, but the whereabouts of Mr. Lee and Mr. Cho are still unknown.
It is known that Lee and Cho have been avoiding the prosecution's pursuit by not using their credit card or mobile phone at all for four months after their disappearance.
