On an exciting night, Spain's Valencia shuffled the cards in Group Eight and toppled Ajax, who was the group's leader, to make Valencia and Chelsea advance to the Champions League final.

Valencia struck a big surprise and defeated Ajax 1-0 in the Netherlands, jumping to the top of Group Eight with 11 points, a difference from direct confrontations from Chelsea, while Ajax fell to third with ten points, and the group's bottom one point.

The tie was enough for Ajax to qualify for the final price, but Valencia violated all expectations and snapped up the qualification card in Amsterdam so Ajax would only move to the European League competition as the third-place.

At Johan Cruyff Arena, Rodrigo Moreno took the lead and scored the winning goal and qualification for Valencia in the 24th minute.

The Spanish team finished the match with ten men after Gabriel Paulista was sent off in overtime.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea went ahead with two goals through Tammy Abraham in the 19th minute and Spain's Cesar Azbelicueta in the 35th minute before Loic Remy hit back with a goal in the 78th minute.
