The colleges that delayed the start of the course for two weeks began the spring semester today (16th). Most of them opened as online lectures without on-the-spot lectures.

A college site where students take online lectures.

Even if you log in, you have to wait a long time before you are connected. When you click the lecture video, only the phrase 'Waiting for a response' appears.

[Mr. Lee Mo / Ewha Womans University 4th grade: Since it is the beginning of the course, there are many people who listen to the lecture.

When I select another university or lecture video, only a black screen appears for a few minutes.

80% of universities nationwide started a new semester today with online lectures, and the site paralysis continued after morning.

Some universities hurriedly moved to platforms such as African TV and Google Mitt.

[Baek Geon-Woo / Hanyang University 2nd grade: The lecture was not on at all, so I was waiting for an hour.

These access disorders occurred nationwide, but in the metropolitan area, they occurred in Korea University, Ewha Womans University, Hanyang University, and foreign universities.

It seems that the server was not able to stand up as students were simultaneously connected to the real-time video lecture.

Most universities decided to teach online about two weeks ago, but they started online without securing the server capacity considering the number of concurrent users.

The colleges that have been in turmoil have said they will maximize server capacity, but it remains to be seen whether it will solve connection paralysis in one day.
